Special Education Home Special Education Initiative Parents As Partners Inclusive Education Related Services Shared Responsibilities Lending Library Case Study Committee
Although extensive special education services are not available in each school in the Mediterranean District, additional professionals such as the general educator, school guidance counselor, nurse, school psychologist, and administrator collaborate to address each special needs child's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Sharing Some schools have additional resource support such as the teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL), Compensatory Education teacher, and English / Language Arts specialist. Together, professionals look across their areas of responsibility and design an appropriate program.
